I needed someone to model the Star Crossed Slouchy Beret and what better model to use then my absolutely adorable nephew Reuben. So this is my finished Christmas present for Anna. She's moving to Vancouver soon :( so I better get this to her quickly. I useed 1.5 skeins of Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk. I must admit while knitting this I felt like the yarn was going to break cause I was using size 6mm and 8mm needles to knit it. But the final result turned out so beautifully and it's so nice and silky soft. It melts in your hands. I hope to get a photo of Anna modeling her beret when I give it to her. I want to make more of these but somehow teach myself magic loop so I don't have to use any DPN's.
I promise I'll try to blog more about my yarn adventure and take more photos but for now happy knitting everyone :)

Neglect
I've really been neglecting my knitting adventures blog. I have been knitting more then ever though and am becoming more confident with my knitting as the days go by. I finally finished a sweater (a baby one which I still have to take photos of), I made my first beret ever and got over this ridiculous fear of having to block the thing over a plate! A PLATE! how hard can that be?
Next order of business is to actually get on the bandwagon of magic loop, make an infamous pair of bella's mitts and learn how to do intarsia! Plus I really really really want to start knitting home accessories (blankets, pillows). I wish there was more time to knit all the things I want to knit and knit a bajillion things for myself!
