Thigh-High leg warmers

Yesterday I decided to finally restart on a pattern I fell in love with in last years vogues knit-1 magazine called the

thigh-high leg warmers. i had orginally tried to do them on the circular needles but I was knitting too tightly on them. I decided to go to Mary Maxim and pick myself up some Bernat softee chunky to try them again.

I am using 5.5mm double pointed needles for this project and it's actually turning out pretty good :)

here's what the project looks like right now

I"ll post up the finished product when it is done :)

Big Baby Alpaca With a Twist

On Thursday December 27th 2007 I went to Romni Wools Boxing day sale. Everything that they had on stock was 25% off. One of the yarns I bought was Big Baby Alpaca. I decided that since Christmas was over I was going to make myself something (Or maybe a few things)

I just finished making myself an ear flap hat. I Kind of modified the pattern a bit because I was using 7mm 16" Circular needles + 7mm Double pointed needles.

Here's the finished outcome of the hat.

It's a little big for me so I may take it apart and decrease the top of it a big more so the ear flaps don't go all the way down to my chin.

I used a pattern called "Camo EarFlap hat which you can find on here

Cousin Sister in law sandwhich of knitted christmas presents

My whole adventure for knitted projects started in October when my cousin Emilia and I went to Michael's to choose some yarn. I had already started making William's oldest sister's christmas present from a vogue knitting magazine.

We went to Michaels on Mavis and Matheson (5935 Mavis Rd) to pick out some yarns by Lion Brand. They had a 2 for $10 sale on most selected yarns.

On Christmas eve I finally got to give my knitted presents to Khristine, Damaris and Emilia.

For Emilia and Khristine's mittens (the ones in red and white) I used a pattern called easy holiday mittens. I found it on http://knittingpatterncentral.com/directory/mittens_gloves.php

Emilia's mittens (the white ones) was the first pair of mitts I ever made.

The green mittens Damaris is wearing was my most excited pair of mitts I ever made. My friend Gillian told me about a pattern she uses and I think I'm going to use them for more mitts to make :)

The pattern is called Warmest Mittens
